Sabah Golf & Country Club
The oldest 18-hole layout in the State which opened for play in 1976 has hosted many prestigious golf events over the last 2 decades. Reputed as one of the toughest golf courses in South-East Asia, this traditional inland golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves was carved out of a former rubber estate and secondary jungle. The club has 2,500 members which mean success to the golf course is privilege.
With a course rating of 74.4 off the back tees this par 72 18-hole golf course measuring 6335 meters coupled with undulating fairways and large water hazards offers endless challenger to golfers. "Some golf courses are designed for greatness others have greatness entrusted up them." In this case, in the last two decades, holes 14th, 15th and 16th have been named "Amen Corner"
